Rey Mysterio vs. Perro - Continuing the Match?

Since following this story I've had a lot of people comment on "Why did the match continue?" So I want to give my take on that here.

After the 619, Rey could tell something was wrong and he stopped wrestling for a moment to assess the situation. I could see that Rey was concerned for Perro, but also he had to do as he is trained to and continue the match. This is where I see major mistakes were made. Perro was obviously severely hurt and the referee didn’t stop the match. Nobody removed Perro from the ring while the match was finished. Konan was checking on him, but left him in the ring when doing so. The final 619 to Manik was done on the rope next to an unconscious Perro. There are 3 other sides to that ring… pick one that isn’t next to an accidentally injured superstar. Continuing the match is what the wrestlers are taught to do professionally I’m sure, but in this case I don’t see it as a very good decision.

I love watching wrestling but I did not get a chance to watch this match. I am very upset with that.
