FuelTV Review

Many of my internet friends don’t know that I am a fan of action sports. For some reason it just isn’t something that I talk about a lot, but it is definitely something I am a fan of. When I say “action sports” I mean skateboarding, BMX, surfing, and motor cross mainly, although I don’t watch much BMX. Of the four I would have to say skateboarding is my favorite. I’ve watched skateboarding longer than I can remember, but the others I kind of just got into within the past few years.

My friends in real life, the ones that have been to my house or actually see me in person, know I’m a skateboarding fan mainly. Every time my television gets turned on it is on FuelTV. My television has been this way since I found FuelTV in my teen years. I rarely change the channel. When DirecTV and Fox were having a battle and it was rumored Fox wasn’t going to continue with DirecTV I had decided that I was going to get rid of it because that would mean FuelTV, the one channel I watch, would be gone. Luckilly a deal was made and FuelTV stayed.

But what has happened to FuelTV? I remember when it was skateboarding and surfing almost all day long. Tonight I turned it on and UFC is on there. It seems they are going away from action sports and more toward fighting sports. I miss the old days when I could turn on FuelTV and there would always be something on to make me want to stay on the channel. Now I have found myself turning on the tv to see what is on and usually turning it back off. It seems I am turning to MTV 2 lately to get my skateboarding fix from Rob Dyrdek. Don’t get me wrong, I love his shows, but I have seen most of them and just really miss being able to watch pretty much nonstop skateboarding. I really hope that Fuel will go back to the way it used to be soon.

Update: FuelTV is now Fox Sports.

I know what you mean, my wife and I used to watch Speed all the time because it was pretty much all things racing. Then they were bought up by Fox and it is Fox Sport1 and it is pretty much an ESPN clone.

Hope you find another channel that will have that kind of sports soon. I am not into sports. But hey that sports is not safe either, so always put in a complete ear before playing it and keep safe. God bless.
