Herbs and spices that can lower high blood pressure
We know that high blood pressure can lead to all sorts of serious health issues but do you really want to be on medication all your life? Instead you may want to seek out other natural ways to treat your high blood pressure. It is suggested however, that you do not go off your high blood pressure medication without first consulting your physician and you may also want to discuss any alternative treatments wit your doctor.
There are several herbs and spices that are touted as being beneficial in the treatment of high blood pressure. Some of these herbs you probably already use in the course of cooking but it is sure good to know that herbs and spices we already use can help our high blood pressure. Basil has been shown to lower blood pressure but just temporarily, so don't skimp on the basil. Another spice we use regularly that has been shown to help is cinnamon. So who doesn't love cinnamon? This is an easy and pleasant fix, just use more of it. Finally there is good old garlic. Garlic has many properties that help with a number of ailments and now you can add lowering high blood pressure to the list.
