Happy St. Patrick's Day
I hope everyone will be enjoying the holiday today especially those of Irish decent. My mother's side from the family is originally from Belfast, Ireland. They came over to America in the early 1900s. My grandma would always make one of two dishes on this holiday. Either she would make this lamb stew with barley, carrots, onions, and celery or she would make a traditional meal of corn beef and cabbage. I will definitely be having the later of the two tonight with a glass of wine. Wishing you all some luck of the Irish today.
What are your plans for today? Is any of your family originally from Ireland? Have any of you been to Ireland? Speaking of which, I have been to Dublin a couple of years ago. It is a very fun city with friendly people and great food. I loved touring the Dublin Palace as well as some breweries.
