My Recipe For Home Made Laundry Detergent To Save You All Money

A few years ago I wanted to try something new to save money. I remembered every time I had to go to the store to buy laundry detergent,it got kind of expensive. Well I decided to make my own laundry detergent, and it cost a fraction of what I paid for it in the past. So I decided today to post this article to all my friends and wanted to give you the recipe,so you can save money from this point on. The recipe has only 3 ingredients, which cost a total of $4.79 cents. But with this cost, you can have an amount that will last you for at least 4 months. The first ingredients is called "Fels Napa. It comes in a bar that you scrape into a 5 Gallon pail. This is why you will have the laundry detergent for at least 4 months. The second ingredient, is a box of borax. Now you only use about a cup and a half of this. Thgen the third ingredient,is a washing soup. Normally the fels napa cost under $2.00. The borax cost about $3.50 per box, and the last ingredientis the washing soap, which is about $3.00 a box. The fels napa is the only thing you use in the making of the laundry detergent,as the other two boxes you use 1 1/2 cups. So normally the cost per a 5 pound mix, is about $4.50. But those ingredients other then the fels napa will last for almost a year. Happy laundry to all.

Making your own laundry detergent definitely saves money. I do my own using Fels Naptha as the base and I have been very happy with it. One big advantage is I have not had any issues with irritation to the detergent. I have reactions to even the allergen free commercial detergents.

My kids bought me a new, High Efficiency washer and told me I had to use special HE detergent. Apparently it makes less suds than regular so the washer works better. Does this stuff suds a lot? Do you think it would be ok in an HE washer?
