Different Strokes
I grew up in a small neighborhood with a small school, a small church, and a small park. The only thing big about my town was the population of kids. The kids outnumbered the adults by far. If I write about something and it seems like a strange custom remember I don’t come from an American family. There are certain things my family taught me that I’ve learned most people in the states don’t do. Also note that things have changed a lot since I was a kid and that in a small neighborhood you can do things you can’t really do in a big one. I love the way I grew up. It was quite different from what I’ve seen in my adult life. There were things I didn’t care for, but a lot of it was freer than what I see now. We were kind of allowed to do what we wanted without having to worry about what others thought about it.
