A Leaky Sink

Last night, my fiance discovered a leak under the sink. Unfortunately I have never noticed the wet carpet because I wear house slippers with hard sole. Luckily the cabinet did not get water damage. Needless to say it took us a while to find the leak. I think the problem is that we need to put new putty on the seal for the sink. I suppose that is better than having to replace a pipe. My fiance is suppose to work on the sink tomorrow. The funny part is that he did notice the wet carpet for the past couple of days. Turns out he thought I was just a messy person washing dishes. I had to laugh at that. I guess that would have been better thank sink issues.

Needing to replace pipes is far worse than only needing to reseal the sink.

Luckily my husband is a good handy man and repaired the sink when it leaked on his own. I am glad we didn't have to call a plumber and pay for that.

The last time I had a leaky sink it just broke and had to turn the water off or I would have had a swimming pool inside. Glad it should be an easy fix

You are lucky there was no water damage or mold issues. They don't take long to manifest, I've learned from sad experience.

I hope it turns out to be a cheap fix and not a major job.
