Difficult Week Finally Over

Last week has been one of the most difficult of my life. My brother, Russell had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last September, and although he had made a miraculous recovery from his initial hospitalization and rehabilitation, I knew his time on earth was limited. Shortly after I received the word that Russell had been transferred to inpatient hospice, my husband's brother-in-law, Randy, suffered a massive stroke while on vacation in South Florida.

Subsequently, both Russell and Randy passed away with a five day period. I attended two memorial services last week. One on Wednesday and one on Saturday. I was comforted by the words of a speaker at Randy's service who said," those who die in Christ do not really die. They simply change addresses". I look forward to being reunited with both Russell and Randy at the appointed time. While I will miss them, I am thankful for the time we had together and look forward to seeing them again one day.

I am so very sorry for your losses. I´m not religious at all but still liked the quote. I do believe in the spirit world though, and that we are joining loved one´s when its our time to pass on.

I am so very sorry for your losses and the grief you are experiencing. A couple years ago I lost my 18 yr. old grandson, a brother-in-law, and my younger brother in the space of 3 months. None of these deaths were expected. Quite a blow so I really know how you feel. (hug)

May God comfort you in your time of grief. In Jesus's name. Amen.

I am very sorry to hear about the deaths of Russell and Randy. If they both died knowing Christ was their savior, they are in a better place now and I'm sure you will be reunited with them in the future.

Please accept my condolences. However, there is a message in there for you if only you look for it. When things such as this happen there is something deeper that we need to look for.

please accept my condolence. Accepting 2 passing in a row is hard. Must be painful. May they rest in peace, at different address from yours.
