The New Updates
I just noticed the new way to place images , not bad but I really liked the other way better. Reading the new updates on the low rates being paid and showing only US as a bigger percent makes me sad. It should be known that the Filipinos are very active in using the computer and blogging and other online earnings.
Will this affect the Filipino writers here? I don't mind if the rate is lower and will take time to earn as long as we get paid too. It is hard being from a country where people think of being a 3rd world . Indians and other Asian countries have a lot of people trying to earn extra online to augment their salaries which are kind of low.
I just hope someday we will also be noticed and also be given a chance.

Let's face it... that third world tag isn't likely going to be left out for quite some time even if the Philippines' economy gets better. As for the recent updates here, the site needed to do it to sustain its operations.

I am speechless to that hehe haven't seen you on bitLanders, Filipinos are doing great there at this time. Sad I have no computer access, mobile access is very limited. I am currently busy with iPhoneography haha no sales yet but I am happy when my photos are approved by community...no harm trying :)

Bubblews put as down Philippines (which is not really fair!) and all of the Asian connected from Bubblews before. but most of their ads are coming from the Philippines... but I think Persona has the right to put as down because of their statistics views.
But don't worry... Filipinos don't depend on their boss... we all depend on Christ... that is why we are so optimistic in everything. Heheheh. God bless.. we can do it and just always keep the faith burning.

We're not lowering the rate. No current member is affected outside of we are no longer counting outside views from 2 countries. We understand that Filipinos have computers and write, and some write very well, but it doesn't mean that the ad revenue is coming in from those sites. Unfortunately, this is not something we can control. It's not that Persona Paper doesn't respect these countries, but we have to do what will make the site survive and thrive in the future. The only way this could possibly change is if we can get people interested in advertising directly on our site instead of using an advertising company. That way, it wouldn't matter the country, but unfortunately, as of right now, we haven't had anyone interested in doing so.

Read about those updates too. I like the image wizard just fine. The Pixabay feature makes it easy to look for pics you can freely use in your posts.

Ads are shown to all countires, and they base it on where you live. It makes since that Filipinos would get ads from Phillippines. However, the currency for the Phillipines is very different from the US so where we might get $1.00 for a few thousand impressions, we might only be getting paid a penny from the same impressions from ads that are seen by the Phillipines.

Its really difficult to understand why things had to happen that way but we have to adapt the new updates
