Replacing toothbrushes

Okay, be very honest here. How often do you replace your with a new one?

I went to someone’s house and had to take my daughter to the bathroom. The toothbrushes there made my eyes pop out. They were in such bad shape. The bristles were all frayed and discolored .

recommend that toothbrush should be changed after every three months for best . I think that’s a fair amount of time to use a toothbrush especially if you brush your twice a day. They also recommend that you should replace toothbrushes after an illness.

It is also important to use a good quality toothbrush that does not make your bleed and does a thorough job of cleaning your teeth.

So how often do you replace your toothbrush?

Well, not every three months, but maybe every six. I hate a brush that starts to soften. You've made a good point here.

I always thought that the tooth paste on the brush would surely keep the tooth brush clean killing the bacteria if any. Also it is thoroughly rinsed atleast three to four times. My toothbrush never loses its shape and I do not change it that often.

After every few months but not more than six months. I sometimes soak them in salt water to make them last longer.

It is recommended to replace your toothbrush every two months, right? But in my case, I have two toothbrushes (one at home and the other one in my locker at work) so they last twice their lifetime. This may sound gross to others but I change mine once every three to four months, I think.

Every three months as per advised by the doctors, but somtimes it will take longer, because I usually have two tooth brush, sometimes I used the other one or the other one, so they don't used too much. God bless.
