My little Gizmo
When our little 7 year old Shih Tzu had to be put to sleep back in January due to kidney disease we were all very heartbroken. We knew we'd get another dog but we didn't think it would be so soon.
This is our little Gizmo. He is 6 months old. We've had him for about 3 weeks now. I stumbled across him on Craigslist. The owner was a young guy that just couldn't care for him anymore. He said with school and work he just wasn't home enough.
So we went to meet him and he was very sad to see him go but he knew it was for the best. He gave me a lot of supplies so I know the guy had good intentions. He probably just didn't realize how much work they are.
Gizmo is a Shih Tzu. His hair is getting so messy and long. With the muddy backyard appearing now after the snow has melted I'm quickly getting him to the groomers tomorrow for a haircut.

aww Gizmo is adorable. I'm glad that he found a good home since his owner could no longer give him as good of care as he would have liked. I do not feel I would have the time or patience for a dog so I will not get one for my kids although they want one. People need to take getting a pet very seriously. I hope that your hearts are a little more full with the new little guy around. Its so hard when a pet dies.

He is a really cute little dog. That is interesting how you came to adopt him. I know he must make you really happy.
