Thinking about beauty
When it comes to beauty I'm not really a girly girl, it's rare that I wear make up or even look in the mirror. I'm more a have a wash, brush my hair and I'm ready kind of person.
The things I do put more effort into though are dyeing my hair (I'm going grey), and painting my nails.
I've recently been lucky enough to join a campaign on supersavvyme about a new hair dye by Vidal Sassoon. It's a home dye which is supposed to emulate a salon dye. It's a bit of a faff to use as you have to mix it in a pot and you dye your roots first and come back to do the rest of your hair. I have to say though the results were great, for the first time I've managed to dye all my roots in one go. I was very impressed.
Nail wise I'm lucky enough to be blessed with long strong nails, and even my job in retail can't quite destroy them, although I do end up with quite a few snapped nails. One of my favourite things to do when I have a bit of me time is to file my nails and to paint them. I like most colours, but I like them usually to look a little bit different, I guess it's my one vanity. My favourite nail Varnishes are the Barry M ones, especially their magnetic ones. I found out about them on the review site Dooyoo, and bought my first a couple of years ago, and I was really impressed with how easy it is to get great looking nails.
I've just treated myself to a new one, which is green and sparkly.
