It's Been a Distracting Weekend

I won't say I've accomplished nothing, but I have a lot of incomplete jobs, including a post need a photo for on a Seekyt post. I'm reviewing a local business and I'm waiting for a photo he was going to send me by email. So I can't post that yet.

I also read a blog today that gave me an idea for a post of my own on my writing blog, and it's almost ready to post. These projects were interupted by Hewlett Packard doing a bios update on my computer and shutting everything down suddenly without warning.

My husband wasn't feeling well, and he wanted me to go to the other house to pick up some bills he should have mailed yesterday. When I got there, they were not to be found. I think he mailed them himself and forgot. But since I was in Templeton, I took a short photo walk to get material for tonight's daily city photo blog post. If any of you follow one of my Twitter acounts I have links going to my blog post all the time. That's where I post the most photos of my adventures.

Yesterday was also busy and I didn't accomplish all I'd hoped. I wanted to edit a video that would ordinarily take an hour or less, and I couldn't make any of the programs I've used before work because they were all newer versions. I wasted a lot of time on that. I also had harvested some thyme at the other house a couple of days ago I needed to prepare for drying. You can see that in the photo. I need to get it in a jar tomorrow. I also harvested some of my new oregano shoots and put some I had been drying from last year's crop in a jar. You can see that below. We had some of it on our pizza tonight.

I took the photo.

How was your weekend? I'm hoping I'll have time to catch up with your posts soon.

Bad times will come in our life as we have to face it and be optimistic again for the good times tomorrow

At least you accomplished something. My weekend was a real mess thanks to my latest bout of problems with technology.

BarbRad I actually didn't get as much done on my spring break, but at least I was more active here, because today I go back to school, so my time here will be limited. I'm sure you will get what you need done soon.

You seem to always have your hands full ,although you are a convalescent .I have known of thyme ,but have never seen it in person .Here there are plenty of wild oregano in the countryside ,but few people use it as flavouring .

I had a good weekend, got what I wanted done and then relaxed. It sounds like you got a lot done on yours too.

Wonderful pictures as usual. I'm sorry to hear your weekend was a bit scattered.

This is Guiness the Cat. I wish you'd tell Debbi how to harvest time and put it in a jar to save.

Today looks better. Got an order to process and so answering that inquiry won't mean a separate trip. I will also be mixing it with other errands.

My worst moments this weekend were in fighting with technology.

BarbRad wrote on March 9, 2015, 2:37 PM

I hope so. Still need to fit making soup into all this.

BarbRad wrote on March 9, 2015, 2:37 PM

It's always good to spend time with family.

I plant and harvest my oregano at home - both homes. I love it and the bees love it. I've never seen it growing wild here.

BarbRad wrote on March 9, 2015, 2:41 PM

I'm glad you accomplished all you wanted. I'm going to solve one problem by taking the photo I need myself. He would have had to scan one. This way I can get a photo that's just what I want and ready to use.

Yikes, that reminds me. I don't think my husband will be home this evening, I have to make dinner on top of doing my homework...I guess I should go now..:-(

BarbRad wrote on March 9, 2015, 2:42 PM

It was still a good weekend except for the technical difficulties.

BarbRad wrote on March 9, 2015, 2:43 PM

Ah. Relaxing. That's something I don't get much time for. I guess that's what my photo walks are.

BarbRad wrote on March 9, 2015, 2:44 PM

I'd like to be able to do that myself. Thyme is much easier to harvest and save than time, which is impossible.

I hate when my computer shuts down in the middle of something. It's Monday today. I hope you have a good start to an amazing week. :)

ACK. I'm with you on the frustration factor. Still working (... and working) on my taxes.
