Cleansing My Body
Today I am going to embark on my cleansing ritual. I try to do this one a month and find it beneficial. Perhaps you would like to try it too.
This is basically a juice diet. Although it is recommended to do this for a week, I usually only do it for about three days.It gives my tummy a rest and helps to bring my weight down too. I find juicing so much easier to handle than any other diets that I have tried and most importantly, I never feel hungry. A plus point that I never expected was that it actually clears my skin.
The main ingredients in my juice diet are pineapples and apples. I have my juice about four times a day. i begin the day with a cup of warm water with a slice of lemon in it. This is followed by my juice an hour later. I use 2 apples and a slice of pineapple. To this I add a slice of lime, an inch of cucumber, a tablespoon of wheatgrass and spiralling. I juice everything together and just drink it up.
Let me tell you that it is very, very delicious and I just love it. Three hours later I do the same thing again though I can make some changes by adding celery sticks and carrot to give it a different taste.
In the afternoons, I add a leafy vegetable to my juice and take it to another level. It is just so much fun experimenting with the different food and the new taste I get.
Juicing is also a good way to clean u my refrigerator. Sometimes when I have too many carrots or cucumbers at home I just add the to the juice and use them up.
I strongly recommend juicing for everyone. You just don't feel hungry and your tummy can really rest and be cleansed. By the end of the third day I really feel different and so much lighter.
