Two Marriage Celebrations?
My fiance and I plan on having a wedding celebration in Texas in December mostly because my family is down there and my grandparents are unable to travel. We recently told our friends here in Virginia about the plans. They were happy for us...but suggested having a wedding celebration and reception here as well. I thought to myself two marriage celebrations, why not? A friend of mine actually got married on an Alpaca Farm which sounds rather adorable. So overall I am not sure when the Virginia one is going to happen but with how insistent my friends are being, I assume once the weather becomes favorable.
Have anyone of you celebrated your wedding in two different locations?

One of my good friends is actually having two celebrations. One here for her family, and one in another state with his family, and where they will live. It sounds exciting. :)

The thing about weddings is that it can get pretty expensive. Money spent on the lavish celebrations can be used on furnishing and such that the new couple would need. The last thing newly weds need is to begin life in debt. i would keep it to just a single celebration. Good friends will understand.

May be your celebration is a bit unique, there will be more times and places to enjoy and have a wonderful blast

Yup, got married in Canada with my mom and dad in attendance and the hubby's family and friends and then a full wedding in December here in the States since I wasn't going to be denied my walk down the aisle with my dad

No, but I have heard of it and sounds like it should go well.

Since I am not yet married, my answer would be no/ not yet. But someday soon I will be since my partner and I are already planning, Having two wedding reception/ celebration is one of our options because we both live in two different cities. If your budget would permit it, why not, right?

having the event in two locations is very tiring for the couple

It makes me happy to know that I am not the only one.

Oh yes, I have been married once before and it was really expensive. Definitely trying to keep things cheap.

I agree. I think my budget could handle two...as long as I do not go overboard hee hee.
