Truvy and Steel Magnolias

Good morning, folks!

It is the first of the mornings of Daylight Savings Time (DST) and about 10 o'clock. The sun is brightly shining and it is time for me to get up, though I did not sleep worth a damn last night.

I need to get going, as I am going to see my daughter in a show, "Steel Magnolias." She is playing Truvy. I have about a two hour or more drive, and the matinee is at 2 p.m. This is the closing show on a short three-show run.

I am glad to see that she is doing things now at 39-years-old she might have done 20 years ago. Even though ugly divorces come with a lot of pain, there are some good things that come from them.

Other than that, I have nothing else planned. I just hope that I can last through my day.

In the UK the clocks don't change until the last Sunday in March. Can't wait for the longer days of spring and summer.

A friend of mine played M'Lynn in a local production of "Steel Magnolias" a couple of years ago. The stage version has quite a few differences from the movie version, but some parts are exactly the same, right down to the dialogue...I found it difficult to not mouth along (since I've seen the movie a few dozen times, lol.)

That's awesome. Hope you enjoy the show! I guess one thing that can be said about divorce, it can be liberating.

This is great hope you did enjoy watching the show. Although i am not aware of the story but it seems good.

I loved the movie when I saw it, though it was very sad. I'm glad your daughter is enjoying her role and I wish her much success in it.
