Facebook: A Waste Of Time?
Facebook. Who does not know this site. Most of use use this social network to socialise and check out what the rest of our 'friends' are up to.
I used to use Facebook a lot. I would log into that site a few times a day just to see what is happening over there and leave my comments for others to read. sometimes I would watch the videos posted by friends and read the interesting articles posted too.
Now, i feel this Facebook is a waste of time. All those hours spend on Facebook were hours washed down the drain with nothing to show for it. I should have been more productive. This is why I now strive to spend more time on Persona. I can do most of what i did on Facebook and be productive at the same time. My articles get good comments and the response seem to be genuine rather than the mere 'Like" that my friends in Facebook gibe me. Sure the thumbs up is awesome but comments are even better.
Of course, i might need to go into Facebook once in a while just to know what is happening with my friends but I really don't see the point to being there too long. Time spent in persona is time spent productively and this is where I should be.
I am sure there must be others out there who feel the same way like me. the social network in Persona is more informative and the support is better. So is Persona the new social media for us writers, a place to hang out with like minded friends, sharing information and exchanging ideas or is Facebook still the place for you.
I think it is wonderful as I submit my work, others in different parts of the world, my writer friends are reading and commenting. We are so far and yet we are touching each other's lives in profound ways. I just love this feeling.
