Facebook: Love it or Hate it
Some people love Facebook , and some people hate it. I’m torn. I love the fact that I can find old friends that I’ve lost touch with over the years and catch up with them.
I hate it, because I find it way too intrusive. I don’t like the fact that it’s so easy for others to stalk someone. I don’t like everyone knowing my business. I don’t like that so many things can be connected online so easily.
I’m also not a fan of only being allowed one account and having to use your real name. What if you want a business account and you don’t want it connected to your personal account? Maybe I don’t want strangers from all over the world who might visit my blog to see the photos some of my friends insist on posting from when we were younger. I thought I had heard that they were doing away with the real name thing.
Facebook, like anything else has both pros and cons. Since it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon, I guess I’ll have to figure out how I want to use it. So far, I only “friend” people that I actually know, not every friend of a friend of a friend. I guess I’ll just it for personal stuff, and I will instead use other social networking sites for blogging and such.
So tell me, do you love it or do you hate it? Are you on Facebook all the time? Do you post anything and everything? Who do you friend?
