Good morning or whatever part of the day it is for you. Today is Saturday February 28, 2015. The temperature is 55.3°F and the humidity is 76% at 5:21 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0.7 with gusts of 1.6 mph. It was mostly cloudy on when I stuck my head out, but I saw patches of blue and a couple stars. There was no evidence of the promised rain. Weather Underground is predicting a 50% chance of precipitation and a high of 62 today.
Finally got a review posted on Examiner. I reworked an old Epinions review of Abducted by Susan Clancy. It was 10 years ago now—2005—that we saw her lecture at Cal Tech. It sure doesn’t seem like it. She’s a cognitive psychologist who first set out to see if sexual abuse victims who had recovered memories were more susceptible to false memory creation than control groups but wasn’t prepared for the backlash her findings got. She turned to false memory creation in a less emotionally-charged group: alien abductees. It’s an interesting book to say the least. When I looked her up online for the revamped review, I found that she has a new book out on sexual abuse victims that I bet she’s getting a lot of heat about.
My bridal shower is later today. A friend told me yesterday she and her boyfriend will pay for the wedding bouquets. That was nice of her and completely unexpected. I’m really looking forward to this, much more than I had expected. I’ll be seeing people I haven’t seen in a while, eating naughty stuff. This will be fun.
Thanks for reading. Hope you and yours are all well and happy. Hope the day brings you good things.
