Chinese Sping Festival

Now is the Spring Festival in China. The Spring Festival is the most important holiday for Chinese. There is a seven-day vacation for this holiday. During the seven days, many Chinese will visit their relatives, old friends and coworkers. We live in a quick-step society. We spend most of our time to study and work. Therefore we don’t have much time to communicate with our friends and relatives.

The seven-day holiday provide us with an important chance to contact one another in person. I also need to visit my parents, my parents-in-law and my old friends in the next few days. You see, we can’t take a good rest even though we have a seven-day holiday.

It sound like what Christmas is here in the United State. I hope, you enjoy your time with family and friends.

But by having everyone off work for the exact same 7 days, doesn't this pose a headache when it comes to public transportation and over crowding at terminals and stations?

What a wonderful time to mix and mingle. I enjoy reading about festivals in other countries. Are there any special foods or festivities at this time? How else is it celebrated other than visiting?

As they say change of work is rest. So here you are working to meet your friends and relatives emoticon  Happy Feast to you.

We actually also celebrate the Lunar New Year here in Manila. Are both the same? Classes and work were called off during that day, February 19.

It is always nice to read about traditions and customs of people in other countries. We have Eid holidays which are fun but very busy and involve a lot of cooking, eating and travelling .

Lol! But having quality time with the precious people you love is the most important thing. And beside we can do something to have a great rest... but the life of a person is not really forever there. God bless.

Seems like Christmas or thanksgiving here in the states but I guess so long as there is an excuse to indulge in this then any holiday would be good
