BestWriters.net gets a makeover

The drama that unfolded on on 21st February was like something out a movie.

People stayed up all night waiting anxiously for . A rogue guy ran away with cash and members were left angry, hurt and bewildered while the remaining admins were scrambling all over the place to do some serious damage control.

In the aftermath, what was truly amazing for me was how much trust people were ready to place on Rex Trulove, Brad and the other guy. And it seems to me this trust is not misplaced. They bought a new domain, transferred all articles and are back in business with a bang.

They have introduced a new layout removing all traces of the previous site. The members are raving about the new look although the real beauty of any site lies in its ability to pay members as promised, I would think.

I think and made a big mistake when they did not consider member support as an essential part of their . Many people are still skeptical but the general feeling is of excitement and hope.

What I like best, is the ability to remove our articles if we wish to, unlike CGP Gallery where there is no option.

How trustworthy BW will prove to be, only time will tell but after demise of B, CGP and EV, people are running out of patience and alphabets:-)

Some people will go that extra mile or even 100, to keep things running.

SoundNFury wrote on February 25, 2015, 2:49 AM

The site definitely looks to be nicer and more functional. I don't know how much I trust them though.

This site BW should make you their Brand Ambassador emoticon

I don't think that is a little bit suspicious, how they can produce a new site in just one click, it is only means that they already know what happens a long time ago. But anyway, Ia m not writing for that site, I'll just stick here and hubpages. God bless.

Dawnwriter I think Rex Trulove gained my trust even though I just met him online - he kept on interacting with each member even though he is being bashed with intrigue and so many questions. Maybe he is a pastor or a priest - something like that. ( I'm not sure)

At least they attempted Damage control, unlike bubblews who said nothing for a long time when our bank balance was reduced to zero. Maybe the people who are raving on about the new site are hoping for the best and hanging on to the flotsam and jetsome?

I am going to give them a second chance and hope that it is not for nothing. I worry that I will put time in there for nothing. I just hope that I am not wrong for trusting them.

I haven't looked at it today, but I don't believe they can make money any m ore than anyone else can. Perhaps they will eventually be able to pay some money out, but like Bubblews, former earnings are just gone. I don't trust certain people, and that may be because they've admitted to lying in the past.

Dawnwriter wrote on February 25, 2015, 7:36 AM

I would rather prefer to be BA of PP but there are many other people who are more deserving of this title emoticon  I am just trying to understand the psychology of the people. Promoting the site was not my intention.

My sentiments exactly

It's almost like Bubblews introduced us to a drug which is no longer available and now we are trying each and every pill in an attempt to feel the same euphoria again.

bestwriter wrote on February 25, 2015, 7:51 AM

We are allowed to talk here and that is the greatness of Persona.

Hollyhocks100 wrote on February 25, 2015, 8:10 AM

Before I left, well before I left I wrote a post asking if we were being treated like lab rats who were fed on sugar syrup and had to find our way through an ever more complicated maze to get it. Some time later I wrote another post with the title " So we are just lad rats after all". Same theory but different substance. I certainly felt like I was having a cold turkey experience when I learned about the crash, and panicked thinking I couldn´t go a day without bubbling.

I wish them every luck over there - I signed up a while back but was never really very active.

Shellyann36 wrote on February 25, 2015, 9:37 AM

I do need to check them out. I did see a few familiar faces there from B. Rex Truelove was very nice to me during a FB group discussion concerning the site and what happened. He also answered every question put to him by irate users who felt they had been betrayed. I like his style.

erikalui wrote on February 25, 2015, 9:56 AM

I should say that I am impressed with the new look of the site. Looks pretty much faster in terms of loading and the articles are clearer compared to how they looked earlier with ads breaking the flow of the article. They are trying to gain trust of the members but now if they break it again, it will be their loss and not the member's loss. Once bitten twice shy.

dawnwriter I visited the site and see it does have a more professional appereance. Hope the things improve over there, although let me tell you from the business standpoint the owners are lacking experience. I can't understand how that guys was able to ran away with the money....

And by the way bestwriter is suing them for stealing her username LOL! emoticon :winking:

Rex was one of Helium's best writers and a microsite curator in the gardening department for that site. I believe I read on his Helium profile he is an ordained minister. Sometimes he was a bit abrasive on the old Helium message boards but you knew at least he believed in the product (Helium) and was doing everything he could to keep it running. If BestWriters has Rex as one of its overseers/managers/site developers, I trust its success a bit more.

Dawnwriter wrote on February 25, 2015, 11:13 AM

SandraLPetersen I know Rex from Helium days as well. (I wrote there under my real name, Gulrukh Tausif). Yes, the discussion boards did become heated but at least he is a familiar name and to try out new places, we have to start from somewhere.

Any writer who thinks they can make money from online writing sites is dreaming in my opinion. I'm glad I'm here emoticon

allen0187 wrote on February 26, 2015, 1:54 AM

Wasn't part of EliteVisitors and I've never had the chance to see Bestwriters yet. With the recent history of non-payment, I'll be more wary than optimistic.

Kungfu123 wrote on February 27, 2015, 6:43 AM

I won't have a try to write one word on Bestwriters.

Dawnwriter wrote on February 27, 2015, 6:47 AM

valmnz Earning is the easy part. It is getting our hands on the payment that is proving to be the tricky part. Do you think we will only meet rogue admins (admins of this site excluded)?
