Image Wizard Pixabay Challenge: Tuesday

In an attempt to use the new image wizard, I'll be looking at unexpected image results. This morning I've just typed into the Image Wizard the one word: Tuesday. It gave me two images, and I wondered "What is Tuesday about that then?"
This image was taken on a Tuesday I'm guessing, maybe a significant Tuesday. The alternative image I could have chosen was a photo of Shrove Tuesday, according to the image information - although it was just a party bucket and streamers and not a pancake in sight!
Some of the keywords that photographers attribute to their images are truly bizarre - or maybe, in some cases, desperate.
So, this image is Tuesday - and it's a little bit like my Tuesday as I also have blue skies here, but no flowers! Now I just hope the image uploads OK and displays, else I'll look like a plonker: :)
It's good that there is now an image wizard, but be careful what you type in when you search for images as the results might not be what you had in mind! Sometimes you can understand why they tagged their image with the keywords they did - and sometimes you just stare and think WTF.
EDIT : The image is not showing up, I'm sure it'll be "fixed" later, but, for now, it's a bit annoying as that's made me look daft.
EDIT : I've added the image again (some 6 hours later) and it's showing for me now

Even Google Search will get you bizarre results where keywords have nothing to do with the images one sees. Anyway you have to keep searching until you get what you want.
And by the way there is no image in your post.

I didn't use any images in my posts today.

It must be an image of Last Tuesday because it has disappeared now. It can strange what results some searches can produce, often appearing quite unrelated to whatever we requested.

I'm off to search google images for "Tuesday" to see what I get!

Yes, never tell children to search for Beaver. Photographers can tend to put some bizarre keywords as they're thinking of concepts, not what'sin the image, whereas the searcher is looking for objects in the photo

looking like good advice. I doubt I'll post today until it's sorted out. My post from yesterday's lost its image and this one'snot shown up. So, too disheartening to post. But, I have a backlog of writing to do, so it's probably going to do me a favour as I am trying to resurrect an old domain that needs a lot of work.

Well, the image above was something like a man in some themed outfit and some flowers.

Yes, it's not easy to find exactly what you want at the best of times if you're not paying for images.

I straight away go to gallery and upload there and that way I can have pictures in the body of the post but not in the article title.

I´m daft too then and just asked in a post what the heck is going on. I have a real downer on folk who don´t bother adding an image to lead you into their posts, but today I´m one of them and it´s not for the want of trying.

A Pixabay image challenge should be fun, but as things stand at this moment, the challenge is a challenge...lol. I'm certain elitecodex will have this corrected soon, but it's frustrating in the meantime.

I will have to have a poke around with this new wizard. If it's the same or similar to the one on another site, it should be fun to use. I have noticed that a lot of the keywords don't really match the image. As you said, desperate photographers, or perhaps the keywords origins come from instagram, or another site where tags are heavily used.

Did you happen to edit the article after submitting it? I am going to look into some of these issues today and try to find any bugs that people are having with the new image wizard.

No it isn't working yet. So we can take some time while they get it fixed to go out with tour digital cams and take some nice winter images for later. I can't get off my front porch however as it is glazed with ice. Not good. But the coffee maker is about to come forth with some beautiful black death for me to greedily consume. By the way has anyone used the tables to sub-divide pics and paragraphs for multiple displays of images and graphics with words and word art? It's challenging but fun.

elitecodex - I posted using the new wizard and the image was there but I then edited the post and the image was gone - I had to put it back in again.
Kasman wrote on February 24, 2015, 2:40 PM
It appears that the new wizard will give the first 30 images corresponding to the search term you use. I have just posted an article about buckets and the wizard gave me a choice of 30 images of buckets yet Pixabay has many, many more bucket images available.

I've not seen the gallery ... I've heard of it, but it's not jumped out at me and said "Hey - look, I'm here, I'm a gallery"
UK_Writer wrote on February 24, 2015, 4:45 PM
Yes, it's a nuisance. I had a couple of great posts planned for today, but didn't waste my time in the end.. instead, I got one of my old/unused/abandoned domains up to date, so the day wasn't lost :)

People who think a photo of the sun is happiness, fun, life, invigorating ... when actually it's: yellow, sun, daylight
UK_Writer wrote on February 24, 2015, 4:57 PM
I have edited one and created a new one - both had no image.
The one I edited had an image to start with, until I edited it, then the image disappeared.
This, new, post, I chose an image for and it's never shown.

It's been warm, dry and sunny where I live, not cold/winter.
I've not used any of the formatting tools, not worth my time -v- what else I could do with that time.
UK_Writer wrote on February 24, 2015, 5:00 PM
Yes, they're always a cut down version. 30 buckets is more buckets than you can shake a spade at though :)

I have troubles with keywords but I am doing fine so far. I can use pixabay pictures or images now with my recent posts.

Lol, I'm learning to be more creative with the search words I use. But I like the way you approached this picture. Sometimes I'm tempted to just choose a picture and write about it!
