Since when was honey blonde ?

The past two times I have went in to get my hair touched up on the roots I have just simply asked for the same thing for 5 or 6 years now.
I have naturally dirty blonde hair so a dark blonde, and I get it lightened to a lighter blonde. It has always been an easy process done without any fail, so I have always been fairly confident going in. Previously I always got bleached highlights but now no where wants to do that but promised a match.

Both times have been a fail.

Time number 1 was in Supercuts, they seemed very confident it would match without bleach so I went ahead and did it with them. While the color was still on and then once it was washed off I could tell it was more of an orange than a blonde, not orange orange but still orange.
Did she believe me ? No, did she convince my other half it was blonde ? Yes!
So he paid for it and we left making me question if my eyes were deceiving me but I felt there was nothing I could do.
We got home and the next day I put it up, it was even more orange than before and my in laws said they noticed it right away but didn't want to say anything. My sister in law took me to get a refund and to Hair Cuttery to fix it.
While getting the refund they showed me which one they used. Honey!

After doing a color reverse then putting peroxide 40 onto my hair it was finally a match but my scalp did hurt afterwards! I vowed hair cuttery was my new place and preferably with the same guy.

Until today I went back and he wasn't in work but the lady said she would be doing the same as before and not bleach and it would match so my other half said it would be fine since my in laws go here all the time and with different people. So since I am fairly anxious as it is but didn't want to offend anyone I went ahead very nervously.
She washed it off and said it was a great turn out and matched very well, but I looked in the mirror. It did not match, it was a different color from my roots yes but I still had roots that was noticeable, at this point she then decided to tell me its impossible to ever get a match.

Of course I questioned how its been possible for the last few years and me coming in here the last time when it was a mess they still perfectly fixed it for me, I got shouted in my face and wanted to speak to my other half instead because it's impossible to get a match and she ended up phoning the last hairdresser who did it in that salon that it is possible with the peroxide 40 which is what he did before so she pretty much was able to fix it. Which she did as she blamed me for waiting too long in between coloring it which caused it to be more difficult, whilst I sat and cried.

Another hairdresser showed me the bottle, it said honey on it again. Now I can't say I've ever looked at a bottle of honey and thought it looked remotely like the color blonde at all!

I would not have sat and taken getting yelled out. Might have needed bailed out of jail. I would keep looking for a new place or make appointments ahead f time with the guy you liked.

I am so cheap, I have always done mine on my own. Golden Blond looks best on me, but I would be afraid to try highlights without a pro. Sorry things did not go well that one time.

Honestly I've never been spoken to like that before especially in a salon, I have no idea where she was trained or who her manager is but obviously they haven't bothered to tell her how to treat clients

I always go to a pro because of the products they use, way too scared to do that on my own

Isn't it bad? You go to professionals because you trust their expertise and yet all you get is a poor service.
