Good morning or whatever part of the day it is for you. Today is Monday February 23, 2015. The temperature is 53.3°F and the humidity is 96% at 5:57 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0 with gusts of 0.7 mph. It rained last night. The weather station has a storm total of .27 inches. It is not presently raining, but the ground is still quite wet. The clouds seemed to be breaking up went I stuck my head out this morning, but I still couldn’t make out a single star. The moon had set. Weather Underground is predicting a 50% chance of precipitation and a high of 65 today. Poor little Gremlin kitty will be miserable again today.
Yesterday was an uneventful day. I shopped for bride and groom cake toppers for our wedding cake. Hard to believe how quickly that’s coming up. My shower is this coming Saturday, which should be a lot of fun. Three more Saturdays after that is the wedding then it will all be over. As I’ve said before, the thought of the marriage doesn’t worry me at all. We’ve known each for 12 years and have been living together for two. He’s a good man, surprises me sometimes with his feelings. We have a lot of fun together. And I know how lucky I am.
The wedding is another story. Neither of us has done this before and we don’t really know what we’re doing. We’re pretty much doing what we want, though. Wedding in a park? Why not? Purple wedding dress? Hell, yes. I can wear it again, unlike a traditional white wedding dress. And it’s not like I’ll have a daughter I can pass it on to. Mr. Siduri has to check his suit to make sure there are no moth holes and get it to the cleaners. He said he didn’t want a bachelor party, but I dropped a rather unsubtle hint to my brother to take him out to dinner with the possibility of alcohol consumption the night before the wedding. My brother was happy to oblige. Technically, it’s the best man’s job, but he didn’t want to do it. That’s OK. We’re going to asking a lot of him in other respects.
I’ll be leaving for a drive in about an hour. It’s an easy one that I’ve done several times. I’ll be home in plenty of time for lunch.
Thanks for reading. Hope you and yours are all well and happy. Hope the day brings you good things.
