Anemone - The Wind Flower...

Anemone - The Greek Flower...

This flower has of its own. The Greek word for wind has given Anemone its name. The story goes that the tears of the Greek god Aphrodite change into this flower when she was mourning because Adonis had died. It is thought that a bouquet of Anemones gifted to a person can protect him from evil and give him good luck.

It also represents a calmness that soothes and helps to overcome anguish, anxiety and adverse situations. There are 120 species of this flower which is perennial in nature and mainly grow in temperate climates. It has different colors like blue, white, purple, crimson and scarlet. A loamy soil full of organic matter and manure is an ideal place for this flower to grow in.

If that flower protects a person, I would love to get a bouquet of those beauties!

I think no charm or whatever amulet can help us and protect us from evil, but only by our faith in Jesus and by always praying in Him. God is our refuge, no myth or whatever things can give us peace, satisfaction and even true love... but only God and the people He has chosen to be with you forever. God bless.

It is a gorgeous flower and I love the color. Unfortunately I don't believe they'd do well in Minnesota.

I love the photo of the blue flower. In this bitter winter cold it is so nice to see a flower of my favorite color. You have brightened my day.
