Less sugar for a better life

I will start by saying that I have a very sweet tooth, it is quite a bad thing really as over the years I have developed very bad teeth.

They look good on the surface but I have too many fillings and two crowns.

Since I started my new job in April the amount of sugar the I have consumed in the form of cakes, biscuits, fizzy drinks etc has gone way too high. I have put on a few pounds and I know that my teeth don't like it. One at the back cracked off a bit today.

So my latest challenge, to do the right thing by my body I am going to try to consume less sugar.

To start this I will try to avoid things that are around the office, not have the free fizzy drinks at work and make sensible choices like have a hot water rather than tea with a sugar. I don't expect to succeed in completely stopping straight away as this will shock my body a bit too much I think. Instead I will try to say no once a day.

So today, there was some cake and I made an effort not to eat it, I did however bring some cake home from nursery which I will be eating. Once I feel like I have improved I will move to saying no more times a day and then every time. Perhaps only having one day a week when I have treats.

Will you join me?

I really do need to join you. I have a sweet tooth also, and I know that sugar is so damaging, but sometimes I give in. I have to have health as the top priority!

When I am physically active, I don't mind consuming sweets. Other than that I just try to replace sweets with healthier alternatives like honey and it works.
