Redemption earned in less than a month

I just read a post from a member here at that has reached the payout threshold and has actually been paid in record time. Only 25 days passed after his/her introductory post was published back in late January, 2015.

I do not know if I should be motivated or get depressed by this . With just a little over 160 posts, or close to 7 posts per day, this member reached 13,333 coins in a little over 3 weeks.

I can only say what is the secret? I am now certain that my method is totally wrong. At the current pace it will take me at least 3 more months or so to get to the Payout level.

Looking for answers, I randomly checked some of those 160+ posts and surprinsingly did not find any comments left on them by fellow Persona Paper members, nor did see any link shared in Social media networks, yet some of those articles have amassed 30 to 50 views. I did not know that member was so popular in this community.

Furthermore, I have not seen any comments left by that member anywhere so most of those coins came from Views.

Again what is the secret? I think we have just met the most efficient member of this community or maybe those posts are being shared on a website or blog where that person has a lot of followers. I don’t know. I am very confused!

What are your thoughts on this?

I have been on this site for months, and I suppose I should have cashed out by now, but school keeps me busy and I post as time allows.

nbaquero wrote on February 19, 2015, 1:46 PM

Same here Gidget , but even more prolific and active members of this community do not earn coins that fast.

MsBiz wrote on February 19, 2015, 1:52 PM

I'm not quite sure about that either. My guess is that this member is sharing links elsewhere. I discovered that Linker Zone allows you to publish links to other blogs you maintain, so I'm going to link from there and see if that works.

gidget wrote on February 19, 2015, 1:52 PM

This site needs to grow to make more money. I do think its a great site. I started with bubblews and still post there sometimes but I do like PP better.

MaeLou wrote on February 19, 2015, 1:52 PM

They are getting outside views, posting the link to their articles elsewhere. With a new member with more views than average, we did look into it, and everything came out legit. She just has a good following from the outside.

luisga814 wrote on February 19, 2015, 1:56 PM

if i am not mistaken, most of her posts were short stories divided into chapters. I never read that kind but still congratulated her for the payment received. I never checked her profile too. That is too fast. More than three weeks? unlike me my threr monthsary on February 23.

Tiger_Armando_Jose wrote on February 19, 2015, 1:56 PM

I+m not counting on any profit here, maybe later who knows. For now I'm just practicing my English writing and researching.

nbaquero wrote on February 19, 2015, 1:58 PM

MaeLou Thanks, if that is the case I think this member could help spread out the word about Persona Paper. For starters I will do my part and share her latest Post in social media to show people how reliable (and rewarding) this site is.

nbaquero wrote on February 19, 2015, 2:01 PM

MsBiz I have always thought that sharing post elsewhere is the best way get more views, problem is (as you pointed out once) thosoe sites need to have good traffic too.

FreyaYuki wrote on February 19, 2015, 2:01 PM

I think I saw that post about someone who received their payment from Persona Paper. I'd asked how long it took them to reach payout. I didn't know it was just under a month. That's incredible and, like you, I want to know the secret, how they were able to do this, etc. I'm also with you on the motivation-depression thing. I've been here a while and I try to post regularly and I read and comment on lots of articles here but, eh, I don't think I'll be reaching payout even in 3 months time.

CoralLevang wrote on February 19, 2015, 2:11 PM

If you find the answer, please let me know. I'll help develop the marketing plan and we can sell it. We'll be rich. emoticon :winking:

maxeen wrote on February 19, 2015, 2:23 PM

My thoughts are that we must be a lazy lot, or there are secrets we don't know of. I know the same thing on Bubbles..Oops! I must dash and write 10 posts and not be lazy!! Ha! As if !!

MegL wrote on February 19, 2015, 3:11 PM

This person may have had a number of articles taken down from another site or they may have had a book ready "to go". I think the shorter posts in here get most views and comments and I have said many times before, Post once, share often. That is the most efficient strategy. If this person has lots of followers, maybe they will look at some of the other posts on here. emoticon

MsBiz wrote on February 19, 2015, 3:55 PM

This inspired me to sign up for Twitter (again) and see if I can actually make social media promotion work.

bestwriter wrote on February 19, 2015, 6:20 PM

I have been observing too. Getting so many views and not a single one from here seemed odd. The posts are just chapters of a story - so easy to do once the story is written. You are right. It would be good if the secret is shared here.
You cannot be blamed if depression has set in emoticon

bestwriter wrote on February 19, 2015, 6:23 PM

I must admit. I do not share. May be I should start doing that. I feel odd though because I have seen my FB friends just ignoring my posts emoticon

Porcospino wrote on February 19, 2015, 6:25 PM

I am surpriced that she reached payout so fast, but I think that the outside views really helped her.

GemstonePink wrote on February 19, 2015, 6:42 PM

I suppose those views come from a lot of followers on a variety of social media.

VinceSummers wrote on February 19, 2015, 7:22 PM

I have no real opinion. More of a concern. Is it legitimate?

Feisty56 wrote on February 19, 2015, 7:40 PM

Now there's an inspiration! Honestly, though, I am fortunate if I write 7 posts/week let alone average 7/day. Having already read MaeLou 's comment below, I'm relieved to learn this success is legitimate and due in part to sharing the link elsewhere. I've always advocated that sharing interesting/quality posts -- whether my own or someone else's -- to social media is one of the keys to success of both the writer and the site as a whole.

brown-paw wrote on February 19, 2015, 8:26 PM

Well, it depends how much he made within that period . . . 5 dollars? LOL

scheng1 wrote on February 19, 2015, 10:02 PM

It is motivating to see that. This shows that we are just too lazy!

MommyCharm wrote on February 19, 2015, 10:27 PM

As much as I wanted to be motivated, I think I was totally depressed with that news you've shared. lol. Well, with my current pace, it will take me at least 6 months to reach payout, lol :) If I may ask, who was that member that has just reached payout?

Dawnwriter wrote on February 20, 2015, 4:24 AM

nbaquero I was also very surprised but after MaeLou's comment, i do not think, we should consider anything fishy. I can understand your emotions but everyone has their own luck and instead of discussing that person's, I think we should think of how we can improve our own earnings. I think we should share not only our own articles but each others as well because then we can reach a bigger audience.

josechukkiri wrote on February 20, 2015, 8:16 AM

I think this author has good followers on sites like FB, Twitter, Google+ , Stumble upon and so on. this may boosted his/her unique views of the posts.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 9:47 AM

Yes luisga814 it was kind of quick, but it is based on a lot of external views, according to MaeLou, so that is the key try to get as many external views as possible, I think.

MaeLou wrote on February 20, 2015, 9:58 AM

Actually, you cannot cash out until $20 - so they earned $20 in that time period.

MaeLou wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:01 AM

Yes, we thoroughly checked. Her views are legitimate.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:43 AM

Gidget Absolutely this community and its admins are a lot better thus providing a more rewarding experience. For example, MaeLou replied in a very short time and clarified all the views are legitimate. That is the kind of great site this is.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:44 AM

Tiger_Armando_Jose Yes, I think that is the case for the majority of us, our earnings grow slowly but surely!

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:46 AM

MsBiz I have my twitter account and regularly share posts not only mine but from other Persona Paper writers , but with much less sucess. I think I need to put some emphasis on getting external traffic.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:47 AM

FreyaYuki thanks, yes, I think we shoud take this opportunity to learn what works and what doesn't, because in the long run that will also benefit the community as a whole.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:54 AM

Well bestwriter that is my problem, I do share posts from Persona Paper writers, but I don't see the same results. I guess I don't have enough followers, and need to work harder on that aspect.

MaeLou wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:57 AM

It's definitely tough coming from one place to another, especially when plagiarists were rampant in other areas of the web. It is a bit offensive when our members do not think that we actually check the work as thoroughly as we can, and question our skills as Admin.

Of course, I'm not perfect, and I'm sure some may be better at "searching" for things than I am, in which case, I would gladly love for someone to give me a direct link to any plagiarism or duplicate content found.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:58 AM

CoralLevang Not rich rich but at least able to pay for some bills, right emoticon :winking: Well, as it has been stated by MaeLou those posts get a lot of external views, so we might need to do that as well.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:59 AM

maxeen Ha Ha we definitely need to learn a couple of tricks.

MsBiz wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:00 AM

What strategies are you going to use? I've had the same problem with Twitter. My professional blog doesn't seem like a good place to promote and I worry about spamming my Facebook friends...

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:01 AM

MegL It looks like those posts are short stories, but what caught my eye is that they were not shared on any social network (at least from the ones provided here) so there must be a big group of followers/subscribers on a external site or blog. I also think we should leverage that resource to help the community.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:04 AM

bestwriter thanks for your support, I am not depressed anymore emoticon :winking: I know that we definetely need to work harder to try and get those external views.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:05 AM

Exactly porcospino that was way out of the standard we are used to see here, but in the end I think is good news, isn't?

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:07 AM

Feisty56 Couldn't agree more, sharing posts and spreading the word about Persona Paper is the ultimate resource to get results. I just realized I need to put more attention to developing ways of getting external views.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:08 AM

brown-paw That is the point, she made 20 dollars in 25 days, great news, right?

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:10 AM

scheng1 I would not say we are lazy, I would say we don't know how to effectively use the tools social networks offer to obtain lots of external views.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:11 AM

GemstonePink I don't know, it doesn't look that Social Media was used a lot, I am thinking the links were shared via a very focused blog or website.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:12 AM

Ha Ha MommyCharm we need to see the bright side, don't we?

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:14 AM

Yes DawnWriter my point exactly, after MaeLou's prompt reply there was not doubt about the origing of those views and no reason for negative emotions. On the contrary, I think this is an example of the potential here and that we need to continue work towards the growth of this community.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:19 AM

josechukkiri That might very well be the case, but in any event the lesson learned here is to try to develop ways to obtain external views.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:33 AM

MaeLou This was not meant to be offensive to anyone, nor it was an implicit statement you are not doing your best for this site and the community. On the contrary, we commend and admire all your and elitecodex efforts day in day out to make Persona Paper a successful community, and have expressed it several times.

But you would agree that seeing such a radical success would naturally raise questions that in the spirit of this community were shared openly, as we have always done, and we obtained clear and promt answers from you, as always.

Finally, as I said on my previous comment, we should use this case to continue highlighting the potential that Persona Paper has.

i had been here since january 2015, it should take 7 months to reach the $20, impossible to reach in 3 weeks, even 24/7 , just impossible

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 11:58 AM

Not too sure yet MsBiz first I need to spend more time there.

Feisty56 wrote on February 20, 2015, 12:03 PM

Might I make suggestion? Would you consider tweaking the title of the post to reflect redemption earned in less than a month? The way it reads to me is that a person redeemed, then was paid that redemption in less than a month, rather than she got to redemption so quickly. I want to share this to social media, but want to ensure the correct message is going out there.

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 12:14 PM

Feisty56 Thanks for the suggestion, I have modified the title, but I am also providing the link to the original post (if you have not read it yet) http://personapaper.com/article/24372 in case you want to share it as well.

Feisty56 wrote on February 20, 2015, 12:16 PM

Thank you kindly! Now I'll share away. : )

nbaquero wrote on February 20, 2015, 1:10 PM

Well peachpurple this proves is possible with the right amount of work plus a combination of factors such posting often, sharing, etc.

valmnz wrote on February 20, 2015, 3:13 PM

Sorry to sound cynical, but this, to me sounds a bit like the scamming that was going on in Bubblews.

valmnz wrote on February 20, 2015, 3:16 PM

I'm pleased to read that from you MaeLou and even more pleased that you were on to it. I should have read this before I added my comment below.

valmnz wrote on February 20, 2015, 3:20 PM

I've now read all the reassuring comments and responses from MaeLou above and feel so pleased that our Admin were on to it checking it out.

erikalui wrote on February 20, 2015, 3:26 PM

Thanks Maelou . I am telling my friends as well to join Persona Paper and I want this site to grow so that everyone benefits here :)

erikalui wrote on February 20, 2015, 3:39 PM

Well I don't know if I should be happy or shocked at myself for earning the redemption in less than a month but it was definitely not an easy task for me. I am honored that Persona Paper valued me as a member but Bubblews did not and indeed the latter lost many genuine members which worked hard on their earnings. I don't think it will be possible for me to reach the next redemption but definitely I am proud to be a part of this website. I do share my article on FB/Twitter and if you check, you will find the links on social media :)

seren3 wrote on February 20, 2015, 4:01 PM

The topic like you say could be depressing. I should start shooting for at least 4 posts a day. Or it's not worth my time - financially that is.

CountryWine wrote on February 20, 2015, 7:10 PM

It sure sounds like he figured out something extra. Integrating Persona into a blog sounds like the answer to me.

Kungfu123 wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:14 PM

I am the freshman here. I hope to earn more here. I want to know the secret.

MaeLou wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:22 PM

I'm glad that you've changed your mind. I work my butt off to make sure we aren't like Bubblews.

valmnz wrote on February 20, 2015, 10:40 PM

And I know we all appreciate that very much MaeLou

Kungfu123 wrote on February 21, 2015, 7:52 AM

Keep writing. We should work hard to earn more. If we all be more active, we'll earn faster.

nbaquero wrote on February 21, 2015, 1:20 PM

Kungfu123 Absolutely, but besides that, I think we really need to develop an external network of viewers that generate some additional traffic for this site.

nbaquero wrote on February 21, 2015, 1:28 PM

seren3 Two lessons learned here 1. A good number of posts prepared in advance are a great advantage, and 2. External views are what we need to shoot for. But I also agree with you, there are more important things than the monetary aspect of PP.

nbaquero wrote on February 21, 2015, 1:33 PM

CountryWine Right, she did hit the ground running, I believe is because of the focused nature of her posts (Short Stories almost exclusively) and the audience she shared those with.

LadyDuck wrote on February 22, 2015, 5:04 AM

Good morning my friend. My thoughts about this?! Two possible reasons, the user is a liar, or the user is cheating using a bot system to increase the likes and views.

erikalui wrote on February 22, 2015, 7:40 AM

Oh really? LOL! I am the user and before pointing fingers at me, you need to check the admin's comment above who has confirmed that I received legitimate views. Surprising that people accuse a person for getting 50 views per article as I felt there are over billion people alive in the world. ROFL!

shiela32 wrote on February 24, 2015, 2:17 AM

I think the person you are talking about is really good at Blogging

nbaquero wrote on February 24, 2015, 12:36 PM

shiela32 Yes, she has shown she is mostly focused on a single type of post and a target audience, which makes for most of her success, I think.

AsADrivenLeaf wrote on February 25, 2015, 12:36 AM

Maybe, if I Facebook less frequently to none at all,and spend more time reading and commenting at Persona, I would be on my way to redeeming quickly.

nbaquero wrote on February 25, 2015, 12:05 PM

AsADrivenLeaf It would help for sure, but it takes time, unless you have a great number of readers and followers already!

crowntower wrote on March 14, 2015, 7:00 AM

Wow! I think I have seen that writer, with a lot of chapters on her wall. Anyway thanks for this inspiring story. But currently the views outside is not counted for my country, Philippines and this is not also applicable to India. God bless.

nbaquero wrote on March 14, 2015, 8:40 AM

crowntower Yes, things have changed so some of this might not be applicable anymore, and we would need to look for view in the countries that pay for them regardless of our physical location. Best of luck to you!

agvulpes wrote on March 15, 2015, 12:01 AM

Wow I can only say that cashing out in that short a time would require more work than I could put in :) Congrats to them though :)
