From Earth to Mars
How far is Planet Mars from Planet Earth? But before I am going to answer this scientific question, I am going to give you some comparisons in order to have an idea the distance of the two planets. In order to travel from Sri Lanka to the Philippines, will take you about six hours direct flight. I set this two countries as an example because it strucks my mind from the recent travel of Pope Francis Sri Lanka to Philippines. The two countries are not that far enough to each other. When I am going to see about a meter size Asian map, I can even use my two fingers to connect each other. But still it will take us more than six hours to travel using direct flight commercial plane. Now, how about from Planet Earth to Planet Mars? Based on the researches that I have read from different articles in magazines, journals, books and even on the internet. An astronaut will travel using the fastest space engine for about six months before touchdown to Mars. When I have one meter picture size of a solar system, I can connect my two fingers with the two planets. The 100 participants for the first colony from Earth to Mars were selected already. Are you ready for the next selection of second colony to migrate to the red planet?

This is truly funtastimundo. I think I will remain on planet Earth. I have a few years left and I will be living my years here on terrafirma. If you go I wish you well. Mars is the next logical step to a human presence. We need to build ships on the moon and have a permanent moon base then build an orbital space station for the moon and Mars as a fueling station between voyages using intermediate stage rockets or shuttle craft and use many forms of 3 and 4 D printing to build habitats and tools and other things the colonists will need. I hope I will be alive to see these events from the ground level.

Anyone who would go to Mars is crazy. There are way too many unknowns and I read an article about the people who would travel there, would not return to Earth. If they survived and made it there. They would live out the rest of their lives there.
