Those little jobs...

I'm sure we all have them. At least I hope that we do and that it is not just me. You know, those little jobs around the house that never seem

to get done. Defrosting the freezer, cleaning the fridge, washing out the microwave, and the list goes on and on. So, we are off on vacation

this week here in NY and I've decided some of those little jobs are going to get done. (Along with a bit of Netflix/Hulu watching)

Don't get me wrong, I love to keep a clean house and that part we do well most of the time. The laundry, dishes, vacuuming, bathrooms,

and other weeklystuff get done most weeks like clockwork, but I've started a list of the jobs that just never get done. So far this week, we

have tackled the BIG freezer with defrosting and cleaning it. This morning I did the microwave and got rid of misc. junk mail on the

counters and table. Later today, I'm reorganizing the pantry and throwing out things that are past date.

What are some little jobs that get overlooked in your household? Do you have a system to get them done or just fit them in when there is time?

I just fit them in when I think about them or finally absolutely have to do it.

Every time I go in a room I will do a few minutes of something ! Maybe just checking the way things are in a drawer . All little things help ..

I have been getting many of those jobs done lately to prepare to move at the end of the month

House hold chores never end. We grow tired every day but not everything is done always.

I hate to do housework. It never ends, and once you start doing, you have to spend the whole afternoon doing it.

Waiting on the electrician putting in a spur so I can switch the freezer off to defrost it. Floors need cleaning. Items for eBay listing have taken over the lounge but I don't have enough listings left to get them all live this month. Bathroom will be deep cleaned before the plumber comes (when we eventually find one!) to sort out the shower. Meantime the bits we use are cleaned weekly. Fridge is clean apart from the very bottom which will be easy to wipe out with a hot dishcloth after the washing up later. My work trousers can go back in the wardrobe later too, once I crawl out of bed.
