I'm getting published!
A couple weeks ago, I received some great news. In April, a paper I wrote is being published in an academic journal. The paper (which I wrote about a year ago) is on the roles of women in horror fiction from the Romantic era (1700s/1800s to the present day). A professor from my school recommended that I submit it to the journal. I was sure it wouldn't get published, because...I don't really know. I was just sure it wouldn't, so I was completely floored to find out they'd accepted it.
Back when I was originally writing the paper, I told my sister about it and she said I should write a book about the same topic. I seriously thought about it, even went so far as to start planning it, but that project just kind of fell by the wayside. But after receiving the letter about being published, I've been thinking more about my sister's idea again. So who knows? Maybe at some point there'll be a book in my future.

You should definitely write your book. You should make sure it comes out in print and that will make your sister and lot of us here happy.

That is great and congratulations on your first published work and I agree with your sister, you should write a book about the same topic.
