Do Not Stop Growing

Growing means allowing yourself to continue the process of development in all aspects of your life. No one wants to remain fixed in one place without any movement at all. We all want to grow in every aspects of our life and that can only happen if we really want it.

We have to learn to accept ourselves—accept the truth that we are capable in some directions and limited to others, that being genius is rare, that mediocrity is somehow takes a portion of our system, that all of us can make contributions to ourselves in terms of honing our skills to the enrichment of common life.

We should also accept our emotional weakness that all people have some kind of something they fear of lurking somewhere inside his mind and heart…however, accepting as well that a “normal” person is someone who is willing to accept life with its limitations and chances equally with joy and courage.

It is not enough that we accept ourselves, but we must also willing to change for the better. We are the only one responsible for ourselves because we can tap those hidden resources inside us. We are the only one who can impose discipline to us to turn away from petty things and useless self-pity. We can reach out to others and exert our energy for a cause, a movement or even a great social enterprise because in servicing others, we can find joy and even liberating ourselves from our greatest fears.

Perhaps weakness is the sign of growth. I like to make the change that helps everyone grow.

Self-acceptance has to be a reality in that you're going to live with "you" all your Life. With that acceptance, as you indicate, comes the responsibility of understanding that everyone has limitations and not expecting that 'society' to always compensate (in one way or another) for those limitations. The trick is finding a 'position in Life' where you can play to whatever strengths you have.

What you say is so very true! Throughout our lives, we have to keep growing and if necessary reinvent ourselves when we have to roll with the punches of life.

This is a well written piece. It is very inspiring. Agree with you on all points. We should strive to be learning at all times.

We are never "there". To stop growing is to stagnate.

I do believe that at times weakness can also be our strengths. Thanks

By recognizing our own weaknesses and strengths, it could be very easy to accept things in the process of living our own life.

Thanks for believing in my point of view. I do appreciate it that someone believes in what I also believe.

So we should not stop allowing ourselves to grow. Thanks for dropping by.

Indeed, when one decides to stop growing, he becomes stagnant and when he becomes stagnant, he becomes stunted.

So true... same with we cannot stop from learning or we will all ceased to grow. Things should be improved and enhanced. It is a pity if we all stop from growing when there is so much time left for us, and when there is so much things to show, and share to others. God bless.
