Add Some Spiciness in Your Sweets

Got a chance to taste one of my favorite chocolate variants - dark chocolate with hot spicy chilli!!!

This isn't your run of the mill chocolate variant. It tastes like the other dark chocolates in the market but what sets it apart is the spicy aftertaste. You would think that you actually ate eating chocolate coated chilli peppers. Anyway, 'sili' is a local chilli pepper. What it lacks in size, it makes up in its spiciness. The heat is bearable though. You won't need to sweat it out but the spiciness is enough for you to take notice.

This artisan chocolate is proudly Philippine-made and other unique variants are available. Would you try a dark chocolate with hot spicy chilli? What other unusual chocolate variants would you like to try?

I would like to try a chocolate variant with wasabi flavor. Just to keep up with the spicy factor.

Any takers?

Spices are certainly good for our health and so is chocolate
a spiced chocolate would surely be a delicacy
I sure would love to taste it asap

I never gave any thought of combining the two. I love chocolate and I love chilies, but the two seem to be two different worlds.

Uhhhhh, I don't think so, I like dark chocolate alone or with coffee, I like chili in my salsa to eat with chips. emoticon :winking:

I modern times we come across a lot of rare combinations. Cheese and pineapple is one such combination I like. Chocolate and spices should surely be yet another of combinations I would love to taste. Off I go in search emoticon

It just doesn't sound good, chocolate is great once in a while but I wouldn't want it to mess with my salsa emoticon :winking:

I live in the Philippines but I never heard about it just now. And maybe if I ever saw it in the market I guess I can only buy one because spicy food is not really my favorite I can't really eat it without a glass of water in every bite hehehehe.
