Don't Watch Google Adsense Stats Daily!

If you're trying to build an income using Google Adsense on your website - and I can thoroughly recommend it - then you are keen to see, daily (hourly even!) how much you're making.
The trouble is, you can get confusing information when your income from Adsense is still small. I used to just check hourly each day until I'd got £20/$30, then I'd not look again until the end of the day - but that was back in the days when I could make that in the first 2-4 hours of the day.
Now things are, well, quieter .... it's really not a good idea to check that often.
This morning I've just checked my stats, hoping for a miracle, only to see that:
- Yesterday's earnings were up 127% compared to the same day last week. YAY
- Last 7 days is down 9.77% over the previous 7 days. BOO
- Last 28 days is up 17.5% over the previous 28 days. YAY
So, with a mixed message, I can't really tell if I'm doing better or worse :) Am I on the verge of a break through, or break down?

It can be very addictive to check the stats lol. I don't make hardly anything, but I still like to take a peek about once a day.

I am really amazed on people who can deal with Google Adsense. I think that is one of the advertisers that are hard to deal with and maintain. I hope I can learn how to apply my blog there, in Jesus mighty name I pray that all of us will be a successful blogger and real writers of each given godly types of story we want to do, Amen.

I seem to be hopeless with Google Adsense. I doubt I will ever get to a payout. I am thinking of Vigilinks instead.

I used to make a full-time living from one well-received website that Google used to send me lots of traffic to.... *sighs* ... ah, back in the day.

I find it the easiest company. Stick to the simple rules about number of adverts/page, stick to good subject matters and all you do is drop the code onto your page and forget it. Much easier than managing the ever changing other methods.

I get a payout from Adsense every month - and always have done. What's changed, for me, is the size of that payout. It's gone from a good full-time income, to making 1-2 days pay across the month

I don't mind that. What I *don't* like is when at the beginning of the day you have much more than what you are told you have at the end of the day.

Yes, there can be some variations, not sure if it's due to clawbacks/bad clicks being credited, or if it's to do with the time their clock actually starts/stops.

Dunno. Could have been suspected click fraud, who knows. They'd know.

Their timing seems to be from late at night to late at night. In fact, for me, exactly midnight. Eastern Standard Time in the U.S.
