Pin Money or Income? $2 Reached on PP

Is PersonaPaper an income stream, or pin money? For me, so far, it's definitely a case of being pin money as I've just reached my first $2. Now, as an income $2 doesn't exactly pay the rent does it - and so it's definitely pin money. But, it's important to have a space for some "down time" and a place to relax and gather your thoughts as a writer. See what others are up to - PersonaPaper's a bit like the water cooler in the office, where we hang out for a breather before dashing back to our desks to work diligently on the next major project!

Pin money or income, it doesn't matter, so long as you're happy to be spending your time doing whatever it is you're doing - and it fits into a master plan - and for me the master plan is to have a chill out zone!

It'd be nice to have sight of the stats, to be able to prove or disprove that there's any form of residual income stream gently trickling in - stats are a motivational tool for the lonely writer. But it's nice, for me, that I can simply pop in and catch up with the activities of all you guys out there!

Pinterest: PersonaPaper Board on Pinterest - which I can't add to at the moment, but old posts are there still.

Well done. I agree, this is a great place to chill out and have bit of fun. And when you're having fin the coins definitely start rolling in.

For me, it's pin money. I'm fortunate that I have a good job and a husband who also has a good job. This is pin money for me, but I am saving for something special with all of my money from all of my online sites.

My hope is that as PP grows, our pin money won´t take so much earning. I do love the social side of these sites though.

$2 is really not enough for much. My daily commute to work on public transport uses double that.

We must always remember to love what we do. I see the coins as an added bonus. I don't ever want to get to a point that I rely on the money, as was done by many at Bubblews or at Yahoo!CN.

I am not even at £2 yet. Part of me feels things will improve as more people find the site. I should also spend a little more time here.

UK_Writer wow that water cooler is already giving you money, ha ha... just kidding. I like your analogy, at this point Persona Paper can't be considered an income source but eventually it will, considering it continues to grow keeping the same community atmosphere. Most of community has invested (is investing) a lot of time on this site, and are glad to see it progress, but we understand that there is still a lot of work to be done to take Persona Paper to a privileged position among the shared revenue writing sites. But I guess we overall are enjoying this experience.

I can definitely agree with you there. I've not been very active, but even so it's definitely just chump change. Of course I do like the laid back feel, and prefer a site where the money slowly trickles then one where it downpours and then crashes.
