Category Commenting Challenge

I've just poured my first cup of coffee for the day and it tastes good. Now it's time to catch up reading what has been written here over night while I've been sleeping. I've noticed several people have challenged themselves to write a post in every category lately, but I've decided to set about a related but different task. I'm going to read and comment on the latest post in every category as I drink my coffee and contemplate the day ahead. It's not a big challenge, but I thought it may be one way to expand my knowledge of what is being written here and maybe learn something new along the way. I think I'm probably not the only one who reads the same people and who delves into the same categories on a regular basis. By reading the latest posting in each category I hope to extend my horizons here, stretch my Persona Paper boundaries a little wider.

That's definitely an interesting challenge to undertake. You should learn about a lot of different things from a lot of different writers on this site.

That sounds like an interesting challenge. There are some categories that I never visit for instance anime and sports, and that kind of challenge would be an excellent way to learn something new.

I still don't spend enough time on here to get into a challenge of that magnitude but maybe if I decided this is where I want to stay I will. I am still up in the air, I have sent in 3 questions through the contact us and never gotten any response. Disappointing to say the least. One was about a month ago so it isn't that it is so busy. :)

When I posted that challenge I had first done it myself and realised how interesting it was. One gets to interact with those that are not their connections too.
So get going and finish your task. You need to do it in one day emoticon

Are you sure you're sending it to the right place? I sent one yesterday and had a response when I woke up this morning.

valmnz wrote on February 8, 2015, 7:21 PM

I had hoped to do it in one sitting, but took a break to get on with other essentials in my life. I think I have seven or eight to go and only started five hours ago emoticon

No harm breaking it but there is joy in meeting a challenge. You can try again - sky is the limit emoticon

I've nearly completed the challenge now, I've just completed Travel. There are some interesting inclusins in some of the catefories, almot as if people were just trying to attempt to get an article in each category. I'm loving it.

I am using the contact form. I don't know of any other way to do it. :)

GemOfAGirl wrote on February 8, 2015, 11:11 PM

I'll have to add that one to the long list of challenges that I'm behind on, emoticon :winking:

valmnz wrote on February 8, 2015, 11:21 PM

I was surprised at how interesting and easy to read the categories I was visiting for the first time were.

valmnz wrote on February 8, 2015, 11:22 PM

I also met lots of new people which is always a great thing.

valmnz wrote on February 8, 2015, 11:24 PM

I went to the contact page and used the e-mail address for Heather or MaeLou . I've successfully used it twice now. She's very good.

valmnz wrote on February 8, 2015, 11:25 PM

This one was pretty low key, I did it in three sittings

cheri wrote on February 9, 2015, 1:55 AM

I will go with you on that. It feels good when we interact even more but never forget to post as well. Having some coffee here too.

luisga814 wrote on February 9, 2015, 4:51 AM

Actually in my part i am not commenting the latest post. I am commenting more the oldest post displayed in my homepage because if i will not do that, few minutes from now, those articles will not visible anymore.

MaeLou wrote on February 9, 2015, 8:57 AM

Hmm, I am only showing that we have not responded to one of your emails, and it was a request to add a category - which we are currently not adding any categories at this time. All others were responded to.

arthurchappell wrote on February 9, 2015, 9:52 AM

I am In the process of answering that challenge though still some comments I need to touch on

valmnz wrote on February 9, 2015, 10:40 AM

Yes, MaeLou , I said you are very good at responding. I am very impressed. And you did reply to the category one, well I had a response that said something about the blogging section.

MaeLou wrote on February 9, 2015, 12:49 PM

Oh I was responding to Izabelle :)

valmnz wrote on February 9, 2015, 3:14 PM

emoticon  I thought maybe you were, but as it was under my response I was confused.

MaeLou wrote on February 9, 2015, 4:47 PM

Yeah, sometimes the responses do not line up right. It's another thing on our very long to do list emoticon

That's a tough challenge - so often so many posts are simply unworthy of attention, or plain dull.

BrenndaMarie wrote on February 10, 2015, 3:29 PM

what a great idea, I read the post here at persona paper rather than reading the Newspaper.

valmnz wrote on February 10, 2015, 4:13 PM

That wasn't my experience at all. I found the whole process quite fascinating.

valmnz wrote on February 10, 2015, 4:14 PM

That's what I tend to do emoticon
