Do You Ever Avoid a Product Due To Being Sick of Its Ads?

Have you ever gotten so sick of an advertisement on television or the internet that you are determined that if you need anything by that product. So annoyed that if you see the brand in the store you will purchase the other brand, even if it costs more? I'm talking cents, not hundreds of dollars.

If Geiko actually could save me hundreds on my car insurance, I'd switch despite being sick of the commercial. Unfortunately, when Geiko heard what I actually pay with Liberty Mutual, they couldn't even go under a dollar of what I was paying. Not that I would've switched for a dollar.

My friends think this is one of my idiosyncrasies. They've boycotted products because of the message the ad was sending, but they've never avoided a product because of too much ad exposure.

How about you? Have you ever seen an ad play so much that you avoid buying the product?

There have been a few, but I blocked them from my memory and shopping cart.

I never really pay attention to the ads. If I really want to buy the product, I will buy it.
