Introduction for PeterChase

My full name is Peter Chase Wetherill and I was born in Los Angeles California, many years ago. I have had many professions over the years but mainly I am a musician. As well as performing all over the world and with many famous musicians, I have also taught music to numerous students. I have many hobbies and interests and in 2014 I started to write professionally for a number of web sites. I enjoy writing articles and blogs, and I am also developing some book ideas. My interests include science, health, genealogy, history, politics and of course music. I now live In Portugal with my wife and our son. The food here is very rich in flavor and variety. Fish is a staple with hundreds of different recipes, but my favorite is a hearty dish called “Cozido à Portuguesa” which is a kind of stew with various meats and vegetables. I can’t eat this very often though because it is also rich in calories!

I can also be found on WordPress: peterwetherill.wordpress.com

Many of your tastes are likewise my tastes. I enjoy music. I had ample opportunity to become a skilled pianist, but (frankly) fought against it. I regret that!

I just read your post here at PersonaPaper. I have been out and about this day so I had not one single opportunity to write. Thanks for sharing your bios. You are an interesting fellow. Take care.

Welcome to Persona Paper. Hope you enjoy your stay here. The stew you mentioned sounds delicious.

Hello Peter, I'm so glad to connect with you here. Looking forward to reading your work. I love fish dishes they are so healthy for you.

We have several things in common. I would love to hear of some of your tales of musicianship. :)

Hi Vince! I also love science but made music my profession. I don't wish the music profession on anyone though. It is almost as unsteady as writing! I will write some more here soon. I was about to post an article and my account is still not confirmed even though my profile does not say this. I have contacted the admin. and hope to hear back soon.

Thanks, I have been busy but will start writing soon. I am just getting to know my way around the site and just found the responses to my initial post.

Thanks. Portuguese food tastes great and is very healthy. Mediterranean diets are the best (even though Portugal is not on the Mediterranean). If you ever get to Portugal try the local food and avoid the fast food!

Thanks Wendy, I'll be posting soon. I may post some of my favorite bblws articles after I erase all traces of them from the net.
The Portuguese love their fish dishes and have hundreds of different recipes just for Cod!

I will post a few of my favorite stories when I get up and running here. I plan on writing a book about my celebrity encounters but it is about fifth in the Q behind my other book projects.

Welcome to the site PeterChase . Glad that you could join us here in Persona Paper. Looking forward to reading about your life in Portugal and of course, as a music fan myself, I'd like to read about the famous musicisians you've worked with.

Thanks Allen. I will post when I have some more time. I have some articles about music that I need to edit and then I will post them here.

Portugal must be an interesting place to live. I've visited Spain, but didn't get over to Portugal. How's your Portuguese coming? Anyway, welcome.

I have some trouble with all of the verb forms similar to French and nothing like English. I mess up on the masculine and feminine also. I can't understand how a pen is feminine (caneta) but it is in Portuguese!

Oh my, Cozido à Portuguesa sounds delicious! I looked up a recipe, and I discovered many of my favourite vegetables are ingredients - not to mention some very savoury bits of meat!

Welcome to this great site. I like the way you say you were born in Los Angeles many years ago. emoticon

Welcome to Persona Paper, it can be a bit quiet at times, so it's good to find somebody else/new to read :)

Why not tell us something unique about your area of Portugal, Peter. We hear so little about Portugal in the States. Spain we hear about, Portugal no.

PeterChase wrote on February 28, 2015, 1:32 PM

Let me know how you like it. Portuguese food is very tasty and healthy.

I am not vain but have a twisted sense of humor. Kennedy was elected the year I was born!

PeterChase wrote on February 28, 2015, 1:38 PM

I had a series of posts on the bubble site about my life here. I will have to take them down there and post here. I have some videos now to accompany these posts. Thanks for the suggestion. Portugal is now mostly in the financial news because of the Greek crisis. We are in a similar boat that is sinking.

PeterChase wrote on February 28, 2015, 1:48 PM

That's how I like it! No idiot comments. The writers here are at a much higher standard than that other site I was on. Some of the better writers are here.

your music career sounds really exciting - great that you find time for writing too

Unfortunately I have not had much time to write lately. I hope this will change soon.
