I Like Homemade Soup

During the cold winter months, I like to eat soup that is nice and hot. Hot soup makes a body warm up.
Today, I cooked up a pot of soup. First, I browned ground turkey along with some chopped onion and olive oil. Then I added a can of white beans (rinsed and drained). I threw in about a half a bag of frozen corn. I heated up the soup to a boil and then I turned down the heat to let it simmer for about thirty minutes. While it was simmering, I added some chili powder, cumin, and salt (not a lot of salt though).
After the soup had simmered for about a half an hour, I put some in a bowl. And then I ate it. It was yummy!!
I think I have enough soup to last me about another 2 or 3 days. Then I will make another batch of soup using black beans and pinto beans and some taco seasoning.

That looks delicious. I don't actually cook and I just depend on our good old housemaid's cooking. On colder rainy days I prefer a cup of green tea and some cookies. I like to order this spicy noodle soup every weekend in my hometown that I enjoy eating a lot.

I tend to not do a lot of soup, but when i do I make it good and make sure I have plenty to stash in the freezer for another time.

I usually just get cans of Campbell's or Progresso soups and heat them up for either lunch or supper. Quick and easy. About a month ago, I got a little soup recipe book that you usually see at grocery store check-outs and saw a couple of recipes in there that I wanted to try. The first one is Yummy!

I like home made soups and stews too. My husband and I use our crock pot a lot and will make either chicken vegetable soups or beef vegetables stews.
