Safari holidays in Africa

One of the local travel agencies from my country arranges free evenings. The topics of those evenings are Africa, animals and safari holidays. One of those evenings took place tonight and my husband and I participated. An employee from the travel agency told us about the eastern and the southern part of Africa.

In the eastern part of Africa he mentioned 3 countries: Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. He talked about Serengeti national park, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, hot air balloon safaris in Kenya, Mombasa, and the gorillas and chimpanzees from Uganda. He also showed us a lot of photos from those countries and talked about the different kinds of accommodation. In the break we received free coffee and cake and after the break the employee from the travel agency talked about the southern part of Africa. He mentioned 3 countries: South Africa, Namibia and Botswana, and he talked about the Okavango delta, the Kalahari desert, Swakopmund in Namibia, Kruger national park and Cape Town.

The travel agency arranges free evenings because they are hoping to sell trips to Africa, but it was still interesting to hear about the different places. I don't plan on visiting Africa in the near future, but I would love to visit Africa one day. It will be hard to choose which country or countries that I am going to visit because I would like to visit them all. LOL

Id love to visit Africa one day and go on a safari, although seeing the gorillas sounds good too.

I would love to take my son to Africa and on safari as he is animal mad. I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

I have only seen pictures from safaris, but it must be fascinating to get really close to the animals.

Yes, unfortunately safaris are expensive. I would love to go on a safari one day, but I definately can't afford it at the moment
