I Did It!

So today is a day for saying I did it. To start with I made my mini goal of earning my first $0.50 as you can see in the picture. I am really please with this as it seems to have taken me a long time to get there even though the last 200 coins seem to have amounted quite quickly. Hopefully this will soon have doubled and I will reach my next milestone of $1.

This is a screenshot of my own personal blog. You can find my blog at: I have also create my first ever blog and made the very first post to the page yesterday. I was over the moon when I checked it this morning as I have already received one comment, and two likes. I am so surprised as I didn't think anyone would be willing to read it. I can safely say that it has given me and my writing a bit of a confidence boost.

I have also finished cutting my first ever paper cutting design. I will write a post about that later on today so you can see what it looks like. I just have to mount it onto card first before I can show it. I am entering it into a facebook competition that is being run by one of the pages I use. I designed the template just for this competition. The theme of which was 'Hopes and Dreams'.

So today I am going to complete a Greek lesson before getting out my cutting and mounting my design and later making a start on another template which I designed. Once Dave is up we have to go and get some shopping to last till Friday or we won't be eating. I don't want to be going out after today as we have been forecast really heavy snow. Then hopefully this evening I will catch up on some television whilst I do my knitting or crochet.

Hope you all have a good day with whatever you are doing.

Wow, congrats on some really great milestones! It is great to be able to share your stories with the world through a blog. Awesome...

Congratulations Ria, I know what great victories reaching such targets can seem like. Persona Paper can seem a very uphill struggle at the start, but gradually it becomes much easier.

Morning Ria love. By heck you are a busy lass today. I hope you get that shopping done before the snow arrives, if Darwen is owt like Preston the side streets never see a sprinkle of salt or a snow plough.

After you have the first 1000 coins, the rest will come easily.

Congratulations and very well done indeed. The start is a bit slow but then it gets easier. I am hoping to reach 4000 coins soon:-)

Thank you! I am just really enjoying my time here so if I am still enjoying things when I reach $20 it will be fantastic

Thank you! I am looking forward to getting my blog up and running fully. I am just so glad I jumped in and actually made a start as it felt really good.

Maplewinter wrote on January 27, 2015, 11:17 AM

Thank you! They have all been big steps for me. It may have taken time but I have enjoyed it which is the main thing.

Congratulations Maplewinter it seems that you are making a lot of progress in different fronts! Hope you reach your long term goals, I like you step-by-step approach!

Nooe they don't. The last time it snowed I had to drive myself to the docs and I had to take the side roads as the main roads were queueing badly. The side roads were like skate rinks and I would have done better getting my ice skates out. In the end it took me 25 mins to do the normal 5 minitue journey. I'm prepared this time though and I'm having my meds delivered so I don't need to go anywhere

Thank you! I am just pleased everything is coming together finally

Maplewinter wrote on January 27, 2015, 11:37 AM

It will all come together in the end you just need to nurture and help it grow.

congrats, I could never past 20 cents per day, you did well

melon1234 wrote on January 27, 2015, 12:35 PM

Well done earning your first 50 cents! I am about half way along to making mine, I hope your blog goes well

Maplewinter wrote on January 27, 2015, 2:55 PM

I haven't really been following the bank to be honest and when I noticed I was near It became my target. I have been enjoying myself more than I have worried about the bank. Good luck on reaching your target soon! I am sure you will make it very quickly.

Thank you! I learn't about breaking down goal when I was losing weight and at the time doing the little by little approach worked so I have kept up using it.

Maplewinter wrote on January 27, 2015, 2:59 PM

Thank you! It hasn't been easy from a time point of view. Its involved a lot of reading and commenting as well as making new friends. I don't mind though as it has been fun which is the main thing.

Maplewinter wrote on January 27, 2015, 3:01 PM

Thank you! Hopefully you will reach your goal soon but more importantly enjoy the time reaching those goals.

Colibry21 wrote on January 27, 2015, 4:56 PM

Sounds like you're doing pretty well. Congrats!

Maplewinter wrote on January 28, 2015, 5:45 AM

Thank you. I am just enjoying my time and getting to know people on here as well as making lots of new friends. The money is actually a bonus

nbaquero wrote on January 28, 2015, 1:57 PM

Yes, it is a very common sense approach that surprisingly is not being used too much, even though it has proven over and over again that is effective.

Sheilamarie78 wrote on January 28, 2015, 6:07 PM

I am just a day behind you. That first fifty cents sure takes a long time to amass. I hope it starts to pick up for both of us. (And for all the others, too. You know I meant that!)

Maplewinter wrote on January 29, 2015, 4:26 AM

It is starting to get better and I am averaging about 10 cents a day but it is more the enjoyment I get out of it that matters most
