To people in US Northeast: I hope you stay safe
All day today, I have been hearing reports of the ‘historic’ blizzard which has hit north eastern part of US. There is forecast of almost 3 feet of snow with strong hurricane force winds which are threatening to paralyze the cities across North east coast.
Schools, shops and offices are being closed and I have read that authorities have banned travel on all streets and highways in areas likely to be affected by the blizzard. Buses, ferries and subways services are being suspended but I wonder what happens to places that need personnel 24/7 like police stations, hospitals and fire stations. With such restrictions, how do these places function and how do doctors, paramedical staff and police officers reach their place of work?
To all our friends from that part of the world, I hope you stay safe and warm. Please take all necessary precautions regarding food, fuel and medicines and I hope your power supply is not affected. I am sure this can be pretty terrifying and life threatening especially for the older people.
Are there any Persona-Paper members from that area?
