Today, writing. Tomorrow...?

One of my contacts, who regularly pings me with links to the new ranges on their website, came up with an idea this evening.

Sometimes, my contacts amaze me with their marketing savvy. In written form I can often 'sell coals to Newcastle', as the saying has it, but this particular had escaped me. I told her I would look into it and report back, because I get the feeling that she at least would take advantage of the idea she was asking me to consider.

You know sometimes you hear about something and you just know it's a good idea? Yes, that. I've been working towards having a proper career for several years, dabbling here and there. When I left part-time retail work in 2012, I made a promise to myself that I would never go back; that was much more enjoyable than retail and that I was going to seriously look at a 'real' career in article writing, content provision and .

I wonder if this is the proverbial 'straw that broke the camel's back' which tips me over into actually being able to stick my paw in the air and say 'yes, I AM a freelance writer?'

Time will tell, I guess. In the meantime, I'm running with this and seeing where it wants to take me.

Give it a go. If you don't you will for ever be wondering 'what if . . .'

I wish I'd ventured into the writing world much earlier, but now enjoy a little portfolio of opportunities. Best of luck with your new venture.

Sometimes that's the best way to go. I believe in fate and sometimes you just have to follow the path that makes you happy.

I only read this to see what this great idea was.... only to discover that you've held out on me, kept it to yourself :P
