Katie Breaks The 5K Barrier

I have just received a very jubilant phone call from my wife Katie as she has just managed to pass the 5k barrier as she trains for the Princess 5k next month. In fact she actually managed to 5.8k, beating her previous personal best of 3.5k by quite a bit.

Katie's problem when it comes to has never been about ability as she is pretty fit, it has always been about self belief and now she has passed the 5k barrier she finally believes in her self when it comes to running. Katie was so happy when she phoned and she is now really looking forward to her run in Disney rather than worrying about if she can finish the race. I am so proud Katie, it is so nice that she now believes in her running ability and is looking forward to the day of the race.

That's great! Congratulations to her, it's a big accomplishment and she should be PROUD of herself.

Well done Katie! I'm sure you will both sail through the 5k in no time at all.

mrtoffee That is a great milestone, she would do great at the race. I ran a lot of 5Ks and 10Ks a decade ago and it was fun. The best for her.

That i wonderful. I'm a firm believer of these fun run events, for some of us it makes us stretch a little further. Tell katie she can feel proud of herself.
