When to drink water?
Hey there guys!
So I was reading this interesting article online about when you should drink water. I found it very interesting, because we know we must drink water, but I hadn't read before that there were specific times of the day you should drink it.
Apparently you need to drink water right after you wake up because your body gets dehydrated during sleep and you need 2 glasses right when waking up to refuel. You should also drink one glass before meals. I always had some water around 30 minutes to 1 hours before meals so I was already following that. I’m not sure what the “rule” is for during meals though. I know most people say it’s not good to have liquids during meals but I can’t help it, I can’t eat without drinking anything...
The most curious thing I found was that you should drink one glass of water before taking a shower to lower blood pressure... Maybe that would be more important to those with high blood pressure? I don’t see an increase in my pressure when I’m having a shower. And then before going to sleep you should also drink one glass of water to avoid heart attacks or strokes at night. Again, maybe more important to older people? The fact is, if you drink a lot of water at night you might avoid a stroke, but you will certainly make it more likely to wake up several times at night for a bathroom visit, huh?
