Old songs that make you happy

Hello there guys!

Today was hard to go to work for me, and I had a headache from the start. But instead of banging my head against the wall I decided I would listen to some music while working, hoping this would make me feel better. Turns out it changed the world for me! I put on my favorite playlist on Spotify from songs I listened to as a teenager and loved, and those have been my favorites ever since. The minute I put that playlist on I instantly relaxed, felt better and felt safe. It’s a priceless feeling considering my current state of mind.

Do you have songs like that, old songs from way back when that when you listen to they have the power to put you in a better place immediately? Feel free to share with me some of the songs like that for you!

Some of mine are Here is Gone by Goo Goo Dolls, Apparitions from Matthew Good Band, Superman by Five for Fighting and Take me Under by Three Days Grace.

I love those picnic medleys. In fact just yesterday I was singing along the music provided by karaoke and the song was My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean emoticon

I used to love popular music, but the older I get, the less I listen to music. I have a difficult time listening to music and working. I can tell by your playlist that you're younger than I am.

Even though the song is several years older than I am, I never fail to cheer up whenever I hear "Chantilly Lace" by The Big Bopper. "The Distance" by Cake can get the job done, too. And so can "Little Wing" by Stevie Ray Vaughan.

I have several favorite songs that like to listen to at work now that I sit at a desk at work. I love AC/DC, the Who and just for good measure I will include some Cat Scratch Fever (from Ted Nugent).

Those songs are great :) I have so many songs from yesteryear that I love but there are to many flying around in my mind at the moment. So I will list 2. 9 - 5 from Dolly Parton and Teddybear from Elvis Presley

"Old" is subjective. To me, an "old song" is "Secret Love" by Doris Day or "The Three Bells" by the Browns.
