There's snow status, like a Facebook status

If your like me and you watch the weather forecast here in the UK, you know that some parts of the country were expecting, and have had a nice covering of snow over the past 24 hours.

This was forecast to us, last weekend. So yesterday evening we all got home from work, settled down for the night expecting to wake up to snow, no doubt those of you with children will have had your curtains twitching all evening to see if it had started snowing.

The snow in my area started around 10pm, other areas it started slightly earlier. As i do of an evening i check my phone, click the Facebook app, and what do i see?

I see.... my Facebook feed has been clogged by statuses, stating the damned obvious "ITS SNOWING"

If i could ask these people a question it would be, Have you not seen a little bit of snow before? Also do these people not realise i reside in a house with windows, so i can see plain as day that its snowing!

I cant be alone in thinking this surely?

I think that happens everywhere anymore. I am told when it is raining or snowing. But seldom get told the sun is shining.

Our snow started at around three yesterday afternoon and finished about half four lol. The thing that gets me about snow in the UK is how surprised so many people are when it arrives. Everything grinds to a rusty halt as though nobody knew that snow is a big part of winter weather. Perhaps we should wear bullet proof vests for when the first spring flowers arrive?

It's not snowing here in North Yorkshire, the grass is green, but the hills through my window are white haha.
