Not the lurgy please!

After I felt unwell on Sunday but put it down to general tiredness, Hubby has been off work today feeling sick. He has used annual leave as he is still in his probation period at his new job so wouldn't be paid sick pay. Luckily he had a bit to use up before the end of March anyway so it isn't much of an issue.

Now, here's the bad wife part....I have little to no sympathy when he is ill. There I said it. He lounges about moping and doing that heavy breathing thing. He then spends all the time in bed. I think my lack of sympathy stems from the fact that I am a full time mum and do not get sick days or the luxury of lounging about all day. I've done everything myself today and put both boys to bed. On Sunday, when I was ill I still had to get the boys dressed and fed and did their bath and bed time. When I suffered morning sickness with my second son I had a toddler running in and out the toilet with various toys wanting me to play. I had to get on with it.

I just hope I don't get whatever lurgy he has as I'll have to cope with it and carry on as normal!

Lol I had to laugh as this sounds like my Husband with the heavy breathing, I was ill on and off for 6 weeks before Christmas but still working and looking after Jayden, my Husband was I,l for 24 hours and laid wrapped up in a blanket on the sofa doing the heavy breathing thing. Hope you are all better soon.

I read an article once about men having lower pain thresholds than women ~ that because of being equipped for childbirth, etc., we can endure more. lol Wonder if that was based on a man's research! ;-D

Sorry I wouldn't put up with that! If hubby is off he can at least do some chores and give you a bit of a breather!

I am so glad my husband is not like that or I would be kicking his arse. Although saying that when he is ill I will try and do a little more around the house so he can have a little more time to rest.

There seems to b a lot of nasty lurgy's lurking. Apparently a vomiting flu bug is currently doing the rounds up here in Cumbria :\
