E-books have certainly made huge inroads into the book sales market. All four of my currently published books are available as e-books for the Kindle and any device with the Kindle app. My fourth book is available exclusively as an e-book.

I have never read an e-book and I don't think I ever will now. I much prefer the feel of a real paper book.

I still like printed books a lot, but I must admit that there are some advantages about e-books. Printed books take up a lot of space and they are heavy so I might buy e-books next time I travel.

One thing I like about e-books is a lot of times it is the only way to get a hold of out of print titles. I still prefer to curl up with my paper books when I am home, but the books on my phone are so nice to have when I am out and about and stuck waiting somewhere.

One of my goals for 2015 is to write and publish my e-book-

Handy as ebooks are I sometimes miss the rustling of a page.

A few years ago my son and daughter-in-law got me a kindle after I had seen my daughter's. A very good advantage of an e book reader is that you can adjust the font size. That way I can read without my glasses. I read a lot more now as books can even be found for bargain prices or even free.

Same here. I love how cheap e books are and love the ability to change the font size.

I do love the feel of a book but the convenience and the ability to carry hundreds of books make an ebook reader so wonderful. Borrow one and try it for a while. You might change your mind. (I would highly recommend a Nook, the kindle's format sucks. I want page numbers, not % of how much I have read.)

There's just something about paper books that e books can never replace. I still have 3 bookshelves full of books that I just can't make myself get rid of. I grew up in a family where books were "magic" and to be treasured.

Personally, I prefer classic books but I must admit that e-books are also very useful and many people prefer to use an e-reader nowadays.

Regarding space and price, e-books win. But regarding my opinion ... I prefer those printed books too.

Liamleather I wish you good luck with your goal. Let me know when your e-book will be ready.

Very informative. I really need to catch up with technology and that would be a great way to start.

maramadalina wrote on January 19, 2015, 1:53 PM

I don't have an e-reader but I use my phone too for reading some interesting books. It is really useful.

maramadalina wrote on January 19, 2015, 1:55 PM

Nowadays technology is really amazing. Sometimes I see new gadgets and I have no idea what is their use.

I love reading. It is one of my beloved hobbies and I have many books at home. I always buy books. I must admit that I prefer paper books too but I also have to say that these e-books are a great invention which saves space and money.

I think people enjoy the portability and convenience of being able to buy a new book with just a couple clicks.
