Kata Angst

Arrrrrrggggghhhhh..... there i have got it out!

I have been trying to learn a new kata at taekwondo, coong moo i believe it is called. Anyway part of it is a flying side kick, i am not great at kicks and am hopeless at this one. So i decided i would practice at any opportunity with the idea that if i try enough i will get the hang of it.

What i have actually learnt is that socks, tiled floors and jumps do not mix, i landed funny slid across the floor and landed in an unelegant heap!

I have not yet attempted the 360 degree spin, i am sure that will be just as much fun and i will probably end up on my bum more than my feet......and they say exercise is good for you!

vikkiloulou as a former Tae kwon do practicioner I endured a lot of falls and slips practicing the Poomses (Katas) and never really liked them, I loved sparring, but had to learn them to get my different belts. Just keep practicing and put all your efforts into it, you will soon master them.
