Why does Mr Fish take for granted I am going to wash his clothes

Seriously? Without fail I do the washing and drying he hates the dryer being on because we live in a flat so I have to open the window and shut the kitchen door because of the cats and my god does he moan. I have told him time and time again it's this or no clean/dry clothes. This has no affect. So now I have just taken a load out of the washing machine and put it in the dryer I opened the window shut the door came out and said the dryers on. He replied thankyou..followed by no idea why I'm thanking you?! No idea why your thanking me?! So I've replied and spat how about thank you for washing my clothes! You seem to take it for granted that there shall be clean and dry clothes in the wardrobe for you?! To which he has said nothing at all! So now I am going to go and drown my sorrows in the bath which yes okay Mr Fish did run for me but I am still annoyed at him! Maybe I'm due on but I don't care!
Much love and pawprints

I don't think it's a good thing when people take each other for granted, although most of us do it all the time. I don't think anyone of us expects to be thanked each and every time we do something for the other person, but occasionally hearing that our efforts are appreciated makes a big difference.

I would stop washing his clothes but keep washing your own, then he would realise how much you do haha! Enjoy your bath!

Oh dear, not good. Sometimes John annoys me at weekends because he just tends to plonk himself in front of the telly and it's me who still has to do the washing. He says the same thing every time, 'Oh, I forgot to bring them down..sorry!' Drives me nuts. Do you have room for one of those clothes airers in the flat? We got one from Argos a couple of years ago and it's a godsend as I don't have to put the dryer on (it's a washer dryer) all the time. It can be quite noisy as well so the airer is used often as an alternative and I can actually fit two loads on there if I want to.
